TopBachelors.com and TopBachelorettes.com were founded by
Dr. John Spencer Ellis of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, USA. After reviewing several "less than classy" web-based dating sites, John decided to create this organization for men and women who truly are in search of the perfect match.

It's not just a coincidence that John ended up in the dating business. He has twice been featured at the Big Brother's Celebrity Bachelor Auction in Beverly Hills with some of Hollywood's top stars from Baywatch, ER, and General Hospital. He fetched an equal amount of money as "Fabio" in the 2000 event! In June of 1999, he was selected by Eligible and Woman's Own Magazines as "One of America's Most Eligible Bachelors." In 2002, he was contacted by the producers of "The Bachelor 2" and asked to audition, but happliy declined.

John was the fitness spokesperson for the former national dating service "It's A Date," which was promoted by none other than Chuck Woolery of Love Connection fame. John has contributed fitness-related articles to several dating and lifestyle publications across the country. He has an MBA and a doctoral degree in the field of education.
